Advancing design expertise by industry
DESIGNxRI Certified is a program that advances the expertise of Rhode Island designers, thereby enabling them to become strategic design consultants in a specific industry. The training enhances their existing design skills and offerings by providing a comprehensive overview of all aspects of the industry. Industry professionals can then rely on the DESIGNxRI Certified seal to recognize designers with a core knowledge and level of expertise that will benefit them.
To become DESIGNxRI Certified, designers need to complete industry specific training through selected partners of at least 10 hours. Designers who successfully complete the training are awarded with a DESIGNxRI Certified seal specific to that industry as well as a Certificate of Achievement. They are then marketed through the program with this niche expertise.
DESIGNxRI Certified Designers in Personal Care have completed 15 hours of training and gained niche insights particular to the personal care industry. Brand, graphics and packaging designers now have expert understanding of the manufacturing process and equipment limitations, industry regulations, consumer trends, and knowledge of industry seals/certifications. This knowledge greatly enhances their ability to service the design needs of the industry.
