Explore Sustainable Style at The Nest

The Nest is Providence’s first secondhand style collective. Join our Co-Founders for an open studio to discuss and learn more about how to join our mission to elevate & incubate sustainable style.

The Nest is collaborative community space where we host workshops, shopping parties, private events, and more. You can explore all of our services including professional organizing, sustainable interior design, personal styling and more on our website.

Charlotte von Meister

Charlotte von Meister is the Co-Founder of The Nest, Providence’s first secondhand style collective. With the goal to elevate and incubate sustainable style, she is on mission to show people that they can be stylish & sustainably-minded while also supporting their community.

Charlotte has a degree in Fashion Marketing and Management from Savannah College of Art and Design. Then moved to New York City where she gained entrepreneurial experience working at the ground level of two different start-up fashion brands. Charlotte loves the power of fashion to express style & authenticity, but after learning just how wasteful the industry truly is, she quit to pursue a new career as a professional organizer. She is now a silver level certified KonMari Consultant and works with her clients to help them shed the excess clutter in their lives and focus on becoming more conscious consumers.

Charlotte is excited to use The Nest as a platform to spread her mindset on intentional living and show people that they can learn to live with less without sacrificing anything.

Danielle Sturm

Danielle Sturm is the Co-Founder of The Nest a secondhand style collective based in Providence, Rhode Island whose mission is to incubate and elevate sustainable style and local artisans while fostering a like minded community.  Danielle has a deep passion for thrifting, vintage, and supporting the local underground art and culture scenes.  And those passions and her personal mission to change how we consume by fighting the environmental and societal impacts of the fashion industry and the media, mixed with her professional background in business development, marketing, and branding have led her on a path to help others understand the impact their purchases and lifestyles have on our earth and personal authenticity.  The Nest provides services and solutions to shop and collaborate consciously while providing a platform for our community to grow.

In her early career, Danielle found herself working in marketing, branding, and operations for multiple startups and small businesses across multiple industries including: urban planning, medical technologies, digital health, professional services, non-profits, and music production and promotion.  Most prominently, she worked coordinating the growth of Rhode Island’s medical technology, biotech, and digital health ecosystem as an employee for the New England Medical Innovation Center and RI Bio while working closely with Rhode Island Commerce on their business development and marketing initiatives.

Outside of The Nest, Danielle is a huge lover of audio, music, and podcasting.  She has produced two podcasts and hosted the Med Tech Monday podcast series.  She also, works as an artist agent and promoter for the Rhode Island based music production company and artist collective, Soundz Organic.

Danielle graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports, Entertainment, and Event Management and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Johnson & Wales University Providence.
