  7. DFWD Design Challenge

The DFWD Resiliency Design Challenge is a three-month training program that accelerates a dynamic learning process, while adding value to designers and companies and creating a more resilient skill base for growth. This program activates designers to explore the tools of the Strategic Design Process through an intensive workshop series and apply the learnings towards a real-world project, all while working collaboratively with a team of other participants and a community partner.

For our most recent Design Challenge, the program focused on participants, team facilitators, and community partners who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC). Four teams worked on solving challenges for local community partners, Incred-A-Bowl FoodsProject Weber RenewRI Latino Arts, and Our Journ3i.

Below you can see interview with some of our participants talking about their experience in this year’s Design Challenge.

Thank you to all our participants and please keep an eye on our website for information on upcoming Design Challenges!
