THE OPEN STUDIOS WEEKEND CALENDAR IS LIVE!

Since 2014, DESIGNxRI has proudly organized DESIGN WEEK RI, an annual celebration of design and creativity across Rhode Island. This statewide event connects a diverse community of innovative designers, makers, and thinkers who are shaping the way we live, work, and create. Each fall, DESIGN WEEK RI brings together thousands of participants for a week of shared experiences, workshops, open studios, panels, and networking events. The goal: to spark meaningful conversations, foster collaboration, and elevate the role of design in building a more vibrant and resilient Rhode Island.

To keep the celebration accessible to everyone, events take place in communities across the state and are largely free of charge (thanks to the support of sponsors, donors, and partners, and yes, we’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit!).

This eagerly anticipated festival shines a spotlight on Rhode Island’s incredible design talent,  from emerging creatives to established industry leaders. It’s a platform for designers to share their work, tell their stories, and connect within our state’s dynamic creative ecosystem. Join us this fall as we celebrate the people and ideas driving Rhode Island’s design innovation, and experience firsthand why DESIGN WEEK RI has become one of the most exciting design events in the region.
