A Conversation with LOMA: How Design Sets the Stage for Experience

A friendly conversation covering the role of design when developing an experience and executing a concept- from the perspective of first-time business owners, design & hospitality enthusiasts, and Providence residents. Hosted at LOMA, this intimate conversation will give guests an inside look into LOMA: an intimate classic cocktail bar with latin american influence and a design and experience-forward new hospitality space (inspirations, moodboards, brand identity etc.). Furthermore, we will explore how different elements of design set the stage when curating different experiences. Together we will chat about the inspiration behind LOMA: from an idea and feel to physical space, and collaborating with local, regional, and international creatives. We’ll also think about contextual design and authenticity, the role of details in a space, and how all of that comes together to form an experience guests could identify and feel.
We hope this event will be an enjoyable and intimate gathering to chat about design and experience with fellow design enthusiasts, creatives, aspiring entrepreneurs, and any visitors that are interested. As first time business owners, working class latinos, and design & hospitality enthusiasts, our hope is this event would provide helpful insights into approaching and executing a design forward business/space/event from an approachable and candid perspective.
