RISD Museum Exhibition Design Tour

design x RI's tenth anniversary banner image

As part of DESIGN WEEK RI, RISD Museum digital content creators, graphic designers and installers share insights into their collaborative exhibition and design processes used to produce the immersive exhibit “Liz Collins: Motherlode.” This exhibition includes an expansive range of material, including large-scale sculptural work, fashion, needlework, drawings, performance documentation, and ephemera. Derek Schusterbauer, Assistant Director of Graphic Design; Jeremy Radtke, Director of Digital Initiatives and Stephen Wing, Manager of Preparation & Installation, will discuss the overall exhibition experience with a focus on graphics, layout and interpretive elements within the installation. Working cross-departmentally, staff aspire to support and reflect multiple perspectives, as well as create spaces for visitors to deeply engage with art and artists, presenting ideas that can be inspiring and complex. Experience how design decisions impact inclusion and accessibility.
