At Increment Studios, we develop playthings that encourage inclusion for kids with and without disabilities to play together. Focusing on universal design and using a human-centered design process, we collaborate with educators, therapists, parents, and kids to create products that are truly responsive to our users’ needs. We have launched our first product, O-Rings: a large-scale, sensory toy that promotes open-ended play, social interaction, gross motor skills, sensory stimulation, and tactile exploration, and it’s locally made!
The co-founders, Maeve Jopson and Cynthia Poon, started Increment Studios as their collaborative thesis project in the Industrial Design Department at Rhode Island School of Design in 2013. Increment Studios is a Public Benefit Corporation, and they are currently based in New York City.
