Marvalina was inspired by a chance exit off Rt 13 South along the Delmarva Peninsula, where founder Maura Cronin discovered the captivating beauty of an abandoned mill town’s weathered surfaces- peeling paint, crumbling brick, and rusted metal. These textures, shaped by time and nature, embody authenticity and resilience. Drawing from this, Maura developed a unique fabric process using starch as a resist that encourages natural cracks and patterns to emerge. With over 18 years as a dyer and colorist, she creates textiles rooted in biophilic design, infusing interiors with nature’s calming presence and material honesty. Collaborating with interior designers, Marvalina fabrics offer clients a meaningful way to bring the spirit of the natural world-and a sense of personal connection-into their spaces.
