This nine-day festival brings together thousands of designers, innovators, business leaders, and design enthusiasts from across the state, and beyond, to celebrate the power of design to shape a better world.

Whether through financial support or in-kind contributions, your partnership helps make this statewide celebration possible, fueling events, talks, open studios, and experiences that showcase Rhode Island’s world-class design talent.
In its 13th year, DESIGN WEEK RI programming includes tours, workshops, talks, panel discussions, studio visits, networking opportunities, and celebratory gatherings. In 2025, DxRI hosted 26 events and 30 open studios, welcoming more than 2,000 attendees. In 2026, we are expanding the program to include additional events and extending the week to meet growing community demand.
2026 SIGNATURE EVENTS
CALENDAR LAUNCH PARTY
On Monday, July 20th, we will announce the 2026 schedule of DESIGN WEEK RI events to hosts, partners, sponsors, and key stakeholders. This inaugural event, held in partnership with The Dusty Planet, offers an excellent opportunity to connect with a highly targeted audience of working designers from around the state.
KICKOFF PARTY
On Thursday, September 10, 2026, we will host the official DESIGN WEEK RI Kickoff Party. Typically presented in partnership with Moniker Brewery, this event draws a broad audience of festival attendees and provides a prime opportunity to engage with hundreds of designers and design enthusiasts from across Rhode Island.
CLOSING PARTY
On Friday, September 18th, 2026, we will conclude the week-long festival with a celebratory Closing Party, hosted in partnership with a Rhode Island design business and Moniker Brewery. This event welcomes hundreds of attendees and attracts a diverse audience, offering an exceptional opportunity to connect with a wide range of individuals.
