Economy Together: Designing a community based economy

The Hive RI’s Co-Founder, Tuni Schartner, will lead an engaging panel conversation on the story of how they continue to build a ‘community based economy’ at the Mill at Lafayette.  Join Tuni and five community members (a.k.a. ‘tenants’) as they talk about the origin story of The Hive RI, Southern RI’s 1st Coworking Space, and the unique and diverse community of over 100 businesses and professionals that now fill the 85,000 square feet of this historic mill complex.  The pandemic brought the ‘Future of the Office’ to the forefront of our discussions but this very laid-back strategy down in Southern Rhode Island that has been quietly played out over the last 9 years is already there!

Moderator: Tuni Schartner

Panelists:
Christine Marinello, Marinello Law and Key Mediation LLC
Kristen Sloan Maccini, K. Sloan Maccini Law and Key Mediation LLC
Ryan Axford, Nurture Labs
