Meet the Designers

Authentic Abstraction

Authentic Abstraction is owned and operated by two former Pawtucket, Rhode Island firefighters Edmund and Brendan. As a coping mechanism to deal with their work-related trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), the duo began collaborating and creating abstract art, poetry, and hand-crafted wooden frames. Along with this, on July 1st Authentic Abstraction released their art and poetry book “Hanging by a Thread” which aims to tell the story of living with PTSD as well as to fight the stigma that comes with mental health related issues among first responders.
