Design Thinking

Join Venture Café Providence for a Thursday Gathering as they kick off their new Idea to Impact Series! The first module of this ten part series will be focused on Design Thinking, led by Roberta Dombrowski of Learn Mindfully. Idea to Impact aims to overcome barriers that inhibit access to business resources, capital, and networks for historically underrepresented entrepreneurs. The Series will include ten modules and office hours opportunities from September 2023 to May 2024, and will provide workshops, office hours and innovation ecosystem networking opportunities to early-stage companies and founders that are building businesses in Rhode Island.

Roberta Dombrowski

Roberta is a strategic research leader and coach, passionate about blending the worlds of enablement, operations, and customer research. An expert in design thinking and human-centered design, Roberta works iteratively with a holistic lens across the business.

• Expertise in user research, recruiting, contextual inquiry, participatory design, heuristic evaluation, card sorting, competitive analysis, and usability testing
• Passionate about building and scaling in-house and remote teams, including organizational design, instructional design, and coaching employees
• Workshop facilitation: personas, process/journey mapping, affinity mapping, design thinking exercises
• Qualitative data analysis: pattern recognition, key insights, actionable recommendations
• Prototyping and wireframing
• Experience in agile, scrum, and lean methodologies
• Tooling: User Interviews, User Testing, UserZoom, Pendo, Google Analytics, Figma
