KITE Architects Hosts REFERRAL-RAMA – the Ultimate Design Speed Dating Referral Event!

Calling all designers! Are you ready to level up your network? How much of your business comes from word-of-mouth referrals? If the answer is “a lot!” then we have an exciting event just for you!

KITE Architects is thrilled to invite you to our Design Week REFERRAL-RAMA where local talent come together for a fun evening of fast and furious connections.

Whether you are looking for collaborative opportunities or meeting other firms that are interested in tackling the kind of project inquiries that you don’t want to take on – the focus of this evening is on making introductions that lead to real work.

Here’s how it will work:

  1. We’ll gather at The Guild in Pawtucket!
  2. Bring a stack of your own business cards
  3. Label at least 10 with types of work you WANT more of (eg K-12 School Design or Healthcare Websites)
  4. Label 3 cards with with types of projects or sectors you DON’T WANT to take on. Keep these! (And you don’t have to disclose these to anyone if you don’t want to!)
  5. Let the networking commence! Meet other designers, find out what they do, and collect a WANT card from them. Your objective is to uncover the kind of work that your peers do well and really want so you can contact them later if you spot an opportunity that’s a fit – and they will do the same for you!
  6. Earn points for every WANT card that you collect – and bonus points for every WANT card that matches one of your DON’T WANT card!
  7. After one hour, we’ll tally the points. The person or firm with the most points will win a special prize – and everyone will go home with new connections!

This event is your golden ticket to fostering professional relationships that are grounded in a meaningful understanding of each other’s offerings and strategic priorities.
